Bioinformatics screening of long chain non coding RNA associated with osteoarthritis

摘要

目的 利用生物信息学手段,分析筛选骨关节炎(Osteoarthritis,OA)的相关的长链非编码(long non-coding RNA,lncRNA),为OA治疗提供新靶点。方法 利用高通量基因信息表达(gene expression omnibus, GEO)数据库中的GEO2R工具,筛选数据集GSE175962中与OA相关的差异表达lncRNA。结果 经分析后,筛选出3个在OA患者中显著差异的lncRNA。这3种lncRNA主要影响丝裂原活化蛋白激酶(mitogen-activated protein kinase,MAPK)信号通路及四氢生物蝶呤(tetrahydrobipterin,BH4)的表达,与炎症反应密切相关。结论 本研究揭示了OA患者lncRNA的表达特征,结果将为OA的精准治疗提供新靶点。

Abstract

Objective To analyze and screen long non coding RNA (lncRNA) related to osteoarthritis (OA) by bioinformatics, and provide a new target for OA treatment.
Methods Using the GEO2R tool in the high-throughput gene expression omnibus (GEO) database, we screened the differentially expressed lncRNAs related to OA in the dataset GSE175962.
Results After analysis, three lncRNAs with significant difference in OA patients were screened. These three kinds of lncRNAs mainly affect the mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) signal pathway and the expression of tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4), which is closely related to inflammation.
Conclusion   This study reveals the expression characteristics of lncRNA in patients with OA, and the results will provide a new target for precise treatment of OA.
